As part of a dynamic eco-film festival hosted at the Association for Visual Arts (AVA) Gallery in Cape Town, I had the unique opportunity to design and paint a temporary interior mural featuring a striking rockjumper bird. This live-painted artwork served as an immersive visual centerpiece, seamlessly blending environmental conservation themes with contemporary local street art aesthetics for the festival's attendees. The temporary installation not only transformed the gallery space to reflect the rugged beauty of South Africa's indigenous fauna but also underscored the powerful intersection of creative arts and ecological advocacy. Bringing this avian subject to life within a high-profile cultural venue allowed me to engage directly with the public, merging fine art execution with live event storytelling.
